Admissions Process
Saint Augustine Behavioral Center accepts adolescents between the ages of 13 and 18 who require residential behavioral health treatment and structured therapeutic support.
Referral Sources
Referrals may be initiated through:
- Acute care hospitals
- Emergency departments
- School counselors
- Licensed mental health professionals
- Juvenile court systems
- Parents or legal guardians
Clinical Review
Prior to admission, each referral is reviewed by our clinical team to determine whether Saint Augustine is an appropriate level of care for the patient.
Medical history, psychiatric history, current symptoms, behavioral concerns, and safety needs are evaluated as part of the review process.

- Insurance information
- Current medications
- Identification documents
- Approved clothing and personal items
- Emergency contact information
Restricted Items
For the safety of all patients, certain items may not be brought into the facility. Restricted items include:
- Weapons of any kind
- Lighters or matches
- Alcohol or controlled substances
- Glass containers
- Sharp objects
- Personal electronic devices unless approved by staff
